About me: My name is Alison and I am an independent waking night carer and support worker, providing exceptional overnight support in the comfort of your home in Southampton and surrounding areas. My overnight support services include waking and sleeping night assistance, medication management, continence care, personal hygiene, and even helping with showering and putting you to bed. I'll handle domestic chores, food preparation, laundry, ironing, pet care, & watering plants.

Experience: Over the past 35 years, my career journey has been diverse. Beginning at age 15 in nursing homes, I provided care for residents with Cancer, Parkinson's, MS, Motor Neurone Disease, Dementia/Alzheimer's, and end-of-life needs. I received training in various care techniques and excelled in hoist operation for safe assistance.

Transitioning to community care, I supported individuals of all ages, offering emotional support and collaboration with healthcare professionals. Subsequently, I focused on night care for dementia patients with Hampshire County Council.

As a night support worker, I cared for individuals with learning disabilities, autism, and epilepsy, while also conducting parenting assessments and assisting with mental health, domestic violence, and substance abuse issues. I've also provided lone night care in retirement extra care housing, catering to dementia, mental health, physical disabilities, and sensory impairments.

Additional information: Night hours are from 22pm-7am Monday - Sunday depending on availability. Milage charges are included in my hourly rate.
